My good friend Dan Everett came over from Baltimore to visit Philadelphia. We spent the weekend having a painting party, here are the results.
Tiger Masked Satan

We decided to use items we found around the house as inspiration. Dan went with a neon tie-die hat with the word slut on it, and I went off of the satan tiger mask that has been laying around.
For the next two we started out by drawing our characters out on to plexiglass with a dark black marker. We then planed out some shading and painted with acrylics on the back layering our colors so they would be visible. The last touch was glueing some items to the front side of the plexiglass to try and give them a little more depth.
For the last and final set of paintings of the weekend we decided to involve the attitudes and spirits of the house animals Molly, and Cheech. Molly has a little problem with controlling her projectile vomiting so we decided to include that aspect to join the two pieces together. We went thru the junk drawer and placed all of it in the area of her vomit layering a coating of clear resin to hold the items down and give it a nice shine. Cheech on the other hand is a little angel, always having to be scared of getting smacked around by the cat.
